ELKINS — Officials broke ground Friday morning on a project that officials say will benefit the community for years to come.

Snowshoe Foundation Leader Receives Award
Voras Haynes Jr., left, receives a legislative citation award Wednesday night for his accomplishments as the current Snowshoe Foundation vice president and board member selection in 2004. Haynes was presented the award on behalf of the West Virginia Legislature by Delegate Phil Isner, D-Randolph.

Lighting Our Hearts Fundraiser
Snowshoe foundation’s Lighting Our Hearts Fundraiser was a great success this year. Thank you to all the businesses who participated. All the trees are on display in the Village at Snowshoe Resort. They will be there until January 1st.
‘Buddy benches’ installed at North Elementary School
ELKINS — Thanks to support from community agencies, students at North Elementary School have two special “buddy benches” where they can sit if they are feeling left out or need a friend.
