Treasure on the Mountain Tentatively Planned to Continue on Scheduled Date

The Snowshoe Foundation Board met this week to further review plans for this year’s Treasure on the Mountain event currently scheduled for August 8, 2020. We realize guests, vendors and volunteers have been waiting patiently for updates related to this event and we appreciate your understanding at this time.

Right now, we’re confident in our ability to safely host Treasure on the Mountain on its scheduled date by implementing proper social distancing policies and other guidelines issued by the CDC and state of West Virginia. That said, the situation is still fluid and state officials have not yet provided specific guidance around large gatherings for non-essential businesses. Until such time as that guidance is announced, we’ll continue to move forward with the understanding that plans remain somewhat tentative.

It is our intention to communicate with our guests and stakeholders throughout the month of June as we work toward a more definitive plan. A final decision will be announced by July 3, 2020.

Thanks again to all of the Foundation supporters for your continued patience and please keep in mind the very purpose of this fundraising event. Through your contributions, the Snowshoe Foundation elevates the quality of life for residents of Pocahontas, Randolph and Webster counties. Due to the impacts of COVID-19, our need will be greater than ever in the coming months.
